Greek Yogurt Pizza Dough

This is a light and crispy pizza dough that is super easy to prepare.

Rating: Nom Nom Nom

  • 2 tsp Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 c. Warm Water
  • 1 c. Greek Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 c. Bread Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

1. Melt the yeast with the warm water until the yeast is no longer in clumps.

2. Add the yogurt and flour to your bowl or mixer.

3. Mix them together and simultaniously add salt. (Prevents salt from killing yeast)

4. Dough should not stick to the sides of the bowl, if it does add more flour until it doesn’t.

5. Remove dough from bowl and pour olive oil in-spread it all over the sides of the bowl.

6. Place the dough back in the bowl and place a clean towel on top.

7. Allow the dough to rise for about 20 minutes in a warm area of your kitchen (I use the stove top).

8. Oil your pizza pan and go for it! (Stoneware is best for baking pizzas).

No, no I can’t say they have. I’m pretty active and try to eat plenty of other healthy foods. Also, very rarely do I get to eat much of my own food because my family typically eats most of it before I get any! If you stick to my egg recipe/ combinations you shouldn’t get fat ;)

Miso Soup with Pork Dumplings
This soup was super quick and easy. I already had some pork dumplings made up (just some garlic, onion, green onion, ginger and soy sauce mixed with ground pork and baked in the oven.)
2 c. Water 
1 Tbs. Red Miso Paste
2 Small Sliced and Sauteed Baby Portabella Mushrooms
1/4 c. Sliced and Sauteed Onions
1 Clove Sauteed Garlic
1 3inX2in Block of Cooked Soba Noodles
Boil the dumplings in the water, then add the miso to dissolve it. Add the cooked veggies and noodles and enjoy!
Cheeseburger Omelette 
This was such a different idea for an omelette and it tasted SO good I had to share it with you…even though it’s a little late for egg friday (sorry!).
Sautee the following until onions are browned and mixture is hot:
2 Sliced Baby Portabella Mushrooms
A little Sliced Onion
Ground Hamburger
French Fries (cooked-these can be homemade)
Pour Eggs over the mixture:
1 Egg (wisked with milk, onion powder and garlic powder)
Flip Eggs when cooked to desired brownness (I like mine browned, I think it adds flavor). Top with:
1/2 c. shredded cheese of choice (I used pepper jack, nom.)
Quickly fold omelette over and top with Bread Crumbs and flip the omelette again to brown crumbs.

Food Blog Problem #1

When you make a dish and it’s so good that it all gets eaten before you have the chance to snap a photo of it. Bummer. Guess I’ll have to make it again!
